Bach, Johann Sebastian
Go back
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) was a German composer who created over 800 musical pieces in his lifetime—fugues, cantatas, sonatas, masses, concertos and more. His technique of interweaving many musical voices that strive for and achieve harmonic resolution is considered by many to be the hallmark of his genius.
Bach fathered 20 children, nine succeeded him and four of these became master musicians in their own right.
Universel appearances: Prelude to St. John's Passion in the lesson Modes of Thinking.
